Miranda Kerr @mirandakerr, founder of clean beauty brand Kora Organics, recently jumped on Valeria Lipovetsky’s @valerialipovetsky instagram to share the self-care rituals she’s been practicing while engaging in social distancing. If you don’t have time to watch the full video on her instagram page, we’ve broken down Miranda Kerr’s self-care rituals here:
Level-up Your Skincare
As the face of a global beauty brand, it’s no surprise Miranda takes impeccable care of her skin. During this time of home-quarantine, Miranda is taking the time to cleanse, mist, and moisturize her face every morning. She also incorporates energizing gua sha massage and Kora’s luxurious facial oil into her routine.
For body care, Miranda practices dry brushing (something she has been doing for years) and takes sea salt and baking soda baths.
Her Recipe: one pound of sea salt and one pound of baking soda.
Wear Bright Colors
A great tip that Miranda shared is to pick bright colors when your getting dressed in the morning. This is such an easy step to take, and can help to lift your spirits in this uncertain time.
Another style trick she recommended is to wear nature-inspired jewelry. Miranda wears insect-inspired ladybug, butterfly, and rainbow earrings. These tiny jewels can serve as joy-filled reminders of the beautiful world we live in. This is also a great way to bring the outside in when you can’t go outside.
Create a Home Sanctuary
Creating space in your home to relax and recenter yourself can make a big difference in your day to day. Miranda uses crystals, palo santo, and sage to clear the energy in her home. She also lights luxurious candles created by her friend and energy healer, Holly Star.
Star’s candles are made with soy wax and crushed gem stones -intended to help shift the environment while burning. If the scent of candles isn’t enough to calm you, Miranda also uses the aromatherapy of essential oils -spread around the room with the help of a diffuser.
Take Time to Be “Unproductive”
While all of Miranda Kerr’s self-care rituals are inspiring, our favorite piece of advice from the Victoria Secret Model-turned-beauty mogul is to take time for yourself to be unproductive.
As go-getters who are always looking for ways to grow and optimize, taking time to be unproductive is easier said than done. However, being ‘unproductive’ gives your mind and body a chance to relax and reboot. Making you so much more efficient when you go back to “doing”.
